Harvard’s Nieman Fellows honor Mohammed Nabbous
Harvard’s Nieman Fellows have given this year’s Louis M. Lyons Award for Conscience and Integrity in Journalism to Mohammed “Mo’’ Nabbous, founder of Libya Alhurra TV. Nabbous, who was killed in March, was not a professional journalist. He created the internet TV channel to provide news on the Libyan uprising to the rest of the world. He was killed in fighting in March. His widow, Samra Naas, who was seven months pregnant at the time of her husband’s death, was in Boston this week to accept the award.
