Mitt Romney releases second TV ad of campaign

In the second TV ad of his 2012 presidential campaign, Republican Mitt Romney highlights his business background as he pledges to cut federal spending and grow the private sector to resurrect the economy.
“I spent my life in the private sector. I’ve competed with companies around the world. I’ve learned something about how it is that economies grow,’’ the former venture capitalist says in the ad, which features tape of an answer Romney offered during a debate in September.
“The right answer for America is to stop the growth of the federal government and to start the growth of the private sector,’’ he adds.
His first spot, which began airing last week, attracted controversy after it admittedly used an out-of-context quote from President Obama to attack the incumbent’s success in ending the Great Recession.
The second ad is purely focused on Romney and his core campaign message. It makes no mention of Obama or any of his GOP primary rivals.
