Obama buys books by local authors
President Obama bought some local books over the weekend. During a Saturday trip with his daughters to Kramerbooks in Washington, D.C. Obama picked up “The Phantom Tollbooth’’ by Amherst author Norton Juster, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever’’ by Plainville author Jeff Kinney, and “The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao’’ by MIT author Junot Diaz. Obama’s trip to Kramer Books was his way of promoting Small Business Saturday, a spinoff of Black Friday.
