Rain and a potential snowy mix in Tuesday night forecast
Rain and a possible snowy mix are possible Tuesday night. Meanwhile, tonight would be a good night to pull on the parka, forecasters say.
The rain is expected to last Tuesday night into Wednesday, and it could turn into a snowy mix in the northwestern interior, the National Weather Service said. The rain may be heavy at times, and flooding may occur in some areas where fallen leaves have clogged drains, forecasters said.
Winds are picking up under clear skies tonight. Temperatures are expected to drop to the mid- to upper 20s inland, and the low 30s along the shoreline, forecasters said.
Clouds should thicken in the morning hours Tuesday, but the daylight hours should stay dry, with a high in the mid- to upper 40s.
By Thursday and Friday, drier weather is expected, with temperatures rising into the 40s and even into the 50s, and dry weather is expected to continue through the weekend, forecasters said.
