Missing N.H. patient found in Boston
A 28-year-old man reported missing from a hospital in Effingham, N.H. was located in Boston today, New Hampshire State Police said.
Joshua McDermott, a patient at the center, allegedly stole a vehicle early this morning from the Lakeview Neurorehabilitation Center in Effingham and headed toward Boston, according to a statement from Sergeant Brendan Davey of the New Hampshire State Police.
Shortly before midday today, Davey said, Boston Police discovered the vehicle McDermott had swiped abandoned on the side of a road in the city. Officers found McDermott nearby and took him into custody. He is currently being held by Boston Police until he is returned to his caretakers.
The statement did not comment on McDermott’s illness and officers were not available for immediate comment.
