Arizona man found dead on bus in Boston; foul play not suspected

Authorities are investigating the death of an Arizona man whose body was found inside the restroom on an interstate bus from New Hampshire when it arrived in Boston Monday night, officials said.

The name of the man is being withheld pending an autopsy and an investigation by State Police assigned to Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office. Prosecutors said there was no sign of foul play, but that the cause of the man’s death must be determined.

If there no evidence of a crime, the man’s name will not be made public, prosecutors said in a statement.

According to prosecutors, the Boston Express bus from Londonderry, N.H., arrived at South Station around 9 p.m. Monday. At that time, the man’s body was discovered in the restroom; emergency medical personnel were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prosecutors believe the man boarded the bus and went into the bathroom early during the trip. He was traveling alone at the time, police said.
