Globe TV critic Matthew Gilbert lands book deal
Boston Globe TV critic Matthew Gilbert has just sold a book to St. Martin’s Press. Nope, it’s not on “Breaking Bad’’ or “Dexter.’’ It’s about dog-park culture, and the strange, joyful, and sometimes neurotic behavior of dog people and their off-leash dogs. Called “Off the Leash: Dispatches From the Dog Park,’’ the nonfiction book will be based in part on a piece about a Brookline dog-park community that Gilbert wrote for the Globe in May.
