Bundchen relative upset about sexy ads
It’s not only Brazil’s Ministry for Women that is objecting to Gisele Bundchen’s sexy new ad campaign. A woman claiming to be the supermodel’s godmother is also upset about Bundchen’s ads for Hope lingerie. According to a story in Australia’s Sunday Mail, Elizabeth Nonnenmacher has launched an online petition against the commercials. “There is an image portrayed of Brazilian women, we are easy to take to bed, we prostitute ourselves too easily, we are sex objects, this is not true,’’ she told the paper. “My goddaughter unfortunately is helping encourage these views.’’ In the ads, Bundchen wears sexy lingerie to distract her husband from bad news. (It’s a fictional husband, not Pats passer Tom Brady.) Brazil’s Ministry for Women deemed the spots “sexist’’ and has tried, unsuccessfully, to ban them. Nonnenmacher, who campaigns against child-abuse in Australia, is Bundchen’s godmother and a cousin. According to the paper, her father is an older brother of Gisele’s mother.
