Happy birthday to the Hamiltons
Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton and his wife Terry celebrated their respective 60th birthdays Saturday with a private Paris-themed party at chef Marc Orfaly’s Pigalle. No ordinary sit-down dinner, the dining room was bathed in dry-ice mist that gave the restaurant a decidedly rock ‘n roll vibe. (The menu included oysters on the half shell, foie gras spoons served with granny smith apple, steak and chicken frites, crème brulee and mini peach pie.) Celebrants included Tom and Terry’s families, as well as Aerosmith ax man Brad Whitford, Patriots owners Robert and Jonathan Kraft (and Jonathan’s wife Patti), David Fialkow of the venture capital firm General Catalyst Partners (and his wife Nina), Todd English’s ex Olivia, and Davio’s owner Steve DeFillippo and his wife Pam. Guests chatted as a Billie Holiday-influenced chanteuse Kimberly Mayo sang, accompanied only by piano. Terry, who married Tom in 1975, has the distinction of being the last original Aerosmith wife, which, considering the band’s reputation for being “the bad boys from Boston,’’ is quite an achievement. The couple arrived at the party in a Rolls-Royce.
