North Shore, the local group on this season of NBC’s a cappella show, “The Sing-Off,’’ may still be competing on television, but in real life it’s already back at home. In fact, on Wednesday night, they were entertaining folks at Bobby C’s in Melrose. “The show’s prerecorded,’’ explained Vivian Martin, the wife of JamesMartin, whom Vivian describes as “the tall, dark, handsome one’’ in North Shore. Vivian says that she and James have to keep the outcome of “The Sing-Off’’ a big secret. She wouldn’t even tell us when the group returned from filming. “He’s been home for a little while,’’ she said, coyly. North Shore stayed on the show this week after performing a stellar version of Dion’s “Runaround Sue.’’ Vivian says she and James haven’t had any viewing parties because they have young kids, but that fans should check in with Bobby C’s because the restaurant will probably host an event for the guys during the season.
