Hamilton Co. buys Allston apartment buildings for $22.5m
The Hamilton Co., a real estate company that owns and manages more than 5,000 apartments in Greater Boston, said it has bought three apartment buildings in Allston for $22.5 million.
Located at 435-441 Cambridge St. and 506-524 Cambridge St. in the Union Square section of Allston, the property has 135 units, said Hamilton Co., which described the transaction as its largest Allston acquisition in a decade.
The buildings were formerly owned and operated by Forest Properties, and Hamilton Co. said it acquired the property with financing by Peoples United Bank.
The property is 100-percent occupied, and it recently underwent many upgrades, Hamilton Co. added.
Hamilton’s chairman is long-time Boston landlord Harold Brown.
