Kissinger, Gifford, Termeer attend MGH bicentennial

Dignitaries, politicians, world-renowned physicians, and local entrepreneurs packed the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center on Friday night for Massachusetts General Hospital’s 200th anniversary celebration. Guests included Henry Kissinger and his wife Nancy, both of whom have been treated at MGH; trustees Jonathan Kraft, Chad Gifford, and Henri Termeer (Gifford and Termeer co-chaired the event with MGH Board of Trustees chair Cathy Minehan); Partners HealthCare Board of Directors Chairman Jack Connors and Vice Chairman Ed Lawrence; Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo; Jianguang Xu, director general of the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau; Congressman Ed Markey; Senate President Therese Murray; David Torchiana, CEO and Chairman of Massachusetts General Physicians Organization; and the night’s host, MGH president Peter Slavin. The party featured entertainment by the Tanglewood Festival Chorus and Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra.
