President Barack Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard party schedule is already shaping up. We know of one soiree, a $500- to $1,000-a-plate event in Oak Bluffs on Thursday, that will draw the likes of Alan Dershowitz, Charles Ogletree, singer Kate Taylor, Rose and Alexandra Styron, Geraldine Brooks, and DNC Chairwoman DebbieWasserman Schultz. The “Voices of Obama’’ event starts with a reading at Union Chapel and will be followed by a party at a private home nearby. Obama and his family are scheduled to vacation on the Vineyard from Aug. 18-28. They’ll be staying at Chilmark’s Blue Heron Farm, which had a gas grill fire on the premises earlier this week. The inn had some minor damage — but nothing that will keep the president away, according to the Martha’s Vineyard Times.
