All lanes of Memorial Drive reopened shortly before 11 a.m. today after authorities removed a box truck that had become stuck underneath the Massachusetts Avenue bridge in Cambridge.

The westbound lanes, along with one eastbound lane, were closed for about two hours as State Police and highway officials wrestled with the wreckage.

According to state transportation officials, engineers have examined the impacted areas and concluded there is no structural to the bridge or the roadway.

There is a 9 foot height restriction at the site of the crash, officials said. The state plans to bill the driver or the truck owner for the cost of removal and repairs, officials said.
