Santorum makes 19th visit to N.H.
Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is returning to New Hampshire today.
Santorum’s one-day trip includes a meet-and-greet lunch in Manchester, followed by a fund-raiser for Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas and a Bedford Republican Summer Social Barbeque at the home of Shannon McGinley. She is chairwoman of Cornerstone Action, a fiscally and socially conservative advocacy group.
Santorum has been working hard to build a New Hampshire campaign.
This is his 19th trip to the state since last April. His national political director, Mike Biundo, is a New Hampshire resident who ran US Representative Frank Guinta’s campaign. His New Hampshire field director, Nick Pappas, previously worked for the New Hampshire Republican Party.
The dividends are unclear: Polls have shown Santorum gaining little traction in the state.
