From coffee tasting to uncovering your home’s history to trying out country line dancing, Boston has plenty of classes you can take for free. Each class offers the chance to learn a new skill or simply enjoy a fun night out as the fall season ramps up. 

Outdoor fitness at Seaport Sweat

Head to this high-energy, total bodyweight athletic HIIT class in the Seaport. You can also earn points for attending the event if you download the Seaport Insider App. The class is equipment-free, but you can also choose to bring your own yoga mat.

Coffee tasting at George Howell Coffee

The class will welcome in the new season by pairing classic fall flavors with its regional- and single-farm sourced coffees. The local coffee company boasts six locations around Greater Boston and hosts several free classes and tastings each week.

Line dancing in Revere

JP Line Dance will lead a country line dancing class at The Yard at Beachmont Square. Grab a bite afterward at Daddy’s Bonetown Burgers’ food truck.

Sept. 25 from 6-9 p.m., 10 Suffolk Downs Blvd., Revere

Learn the history of your home 

Led by the Charlestown Preservation Society, this interactive class will help you unveil when your house was built, who lived there, and how it may have been altered over time. Whether you own or rent, this class is open to all.

Oct. 2 from 6-8 p.m., Charlestown Branch of the Boston Public Library, 179 Main St., Charlestown

Outdoor yoga in Cambridge

This all-levels outdoor yoga class will begin gently and gradually increase in intensity. Be sure to bring a yoga mat and a few layers for the crisp fall weather.
