An outdoor ice skating rink is now open in the Seaport
You can lace 'em up at Snowport Winter Village through February.
From the Frog Pond to the Fenway neighborhood, outdoor skating rinks are all over Boston. Starting Thursday, you’ll be able to throw down double axels and triple salchows in the Seaport as well.
Located at 65 Northern Ave., Snowport Winter Village offers outdoor skating, iceless curling, yoga, and hot beverages seven days a week through February. The winter wonderland is produced in partnership with nearby businesses Fjällräven and Capital One Café, and will also begin to offer freshly baked waffles from the Waffle Cabin later this month.
“Our hope is to offer an open, welcoming, and festive new destination for the whole neighborhood to enjoy,” said Yanni Tsipis, a senior vice president for Seaport’s WS Development.
Spanning more than 3,000 square feet, Snowport’s ice rink will accommodate more than 200 skaters. Snowport will also host live music and community programming, including a free open-skate from nearby apparel company Outdoor Voices on Saturday, Dec. 14, from noon to 2 p.m. It’s also available for private events.
Admission to the rink costs $5 for adults and $3 for kids ages 4 to 12; it’s free for children 3 years and younger and active duty military with military ID. Skate rentals are $5 for all ages.
