For those eyeing fall trips, Amtrak just dropped a sale on train travel that can save you money.

Amtrak is offering up to 25% off coach class fares on routes nationwide during its national fall travel flash sale.

Fares must be booked by Aug. 20 for travel between Sept. 3 and Nov. 13. The discount applies to more than 500 destinations nationwide on the Northeast Regional, Downeaster, Vermonter, and many other routes.

Passengers can snag fares from Boston to New York for as low as $45 each way, and Boston to Providence for as low as $15 each way.

“The fall season is a great time of year for travelers to rediscover the joy of
train travel thanks to some of the best views of the country from our large, panoramic windows,” said Eliot Hamlisch, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Amtrak, in a statement. “Whether riding through the vibrant Northeast, the sun-soaked South, the scenic West Coast, or beautiful Middle America, our guests can enjoy a comfortable and relaxing journey without traffic or middle seats, and with big savings.”
