Rhode Island travelers can again enjoy sunsets from a rooftop bar in downtown Providence that is reopening next month with a new look.

Blu Violet, atop the hotel Aloft Providence Downtown, will welcome guests on Feb. 6 after an eight-week long, $500,000 renovation.

The hotel, located in the Innovation & Design District, offers sweeping views of the Providence Jewelry District, Providence River, Waterplace Park, and the Point Street Bridge from its Blu Violet perch.

The bar’s new space, full of rich textures, dramatic tones, plush seating, and warm light, “blends dark, sultry design elements with a modern speakeasy vibe,” according to a press release.
