St. Patrick’s Day revelers in Boston this weekend can also experience one of the best brewery tours in the nation.
USA Today released a list of the 10 best brewery tours in America on Friday, part of its 2023 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and Samuel Adams Boston Brewery ranked No. 10.
The No. 1 brewery tour in America is Tröegs Independent Brewing in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
“The only thing better than sipping a pint of your favorite brew is getting a behind-the-scenes look at where it’s made,” wrote USA Today.
Here’s what USA Today wrote about Samuel Adams:
Samuel Adams has long been a giant in the Boston beer scene, and visitors are invited to learn more about the history of the company and its famous Boston lager during 45-minute tours of the brewery. Other themed tours focus on cheese pairings and research and development.

Check out the different tours offered at Samuel Adams Boston Brewery, including a Nitro Pour Experience taking place March 15-17 in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.
Another New England beer destination was recognized as well. USA Today readers ranked Biddeford, Maine No. 4 among the 10 best small town beer scenes in the nation. The No. 1 best small town beer scene in America is Cody, Wyoming.
For the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards lists, USA Today travel experts select 20 nominees in topics from food to lodging, destinations to things to do. Then the publication asks readers to cast votes to determine the top 10.
