Cambridge may be just a trip over the river for Bostonians, but it’s also a travel destination for those outside of Massachusetts.

The New York Times shared Thursday what they think is the best way to spend 36 hours in the city. Their weekend adventure includes activities like bookstore hopping, canoeing on the Charles, exploring MIT’s campus, and listening to live music at places like Plough and Stars and The Middle East.

As for places to grab a bite, Clover Food Lab, Mr. Bartley’s, BISq, Commonwealth Cambridge, and Meadhall were among the restaurants to get a shoutout. And when it came to where to stay, the Times recommended The Charles Hotel.
