“A foodie paradise.”
That’s how Julia Child’s “La Pitchoune” cottage in Provence, France, is described in its listing on Airbnb.
The cottage, also known as “La Peetch,” is currently listed for around $600 per night. It joins a collection of $2 million-plus homes available for rent on the site, according to The Boston Globe.
Couple Evie and Makenna Johnston bought the property earlier this year and announced a plan for Child’s cottage that includes the Airbnb rentals and a cooking school starting this June, as well as all-inclusive culinary and yoga retreats that would begin in 2017. Makenna Johnston is a Smith College alumna.
The cottage, on acres of gardens, is nestled just outside the community of Grasse.
