The World Naked Bike Ride , which takes place in 70 cities and 20 countries is coming to Boston this weekend.
The event, in its 11th year, protests dependence on oil and promotes bike safety and a positive body image, according to the organization’s website. Saturday will mark Boston’s sixth year participating.
Do you have to ride naked? Nope. Here’s what the organization’s website says:
What to wear? Do not fear! The World Naked Bike Ride dress code is “Bare As You Dare’’… How bare is that ? How dare is that ?…Its all up to you, you decide what you are comfortable with. No one is exluded or discriminated against based on levels of clothing, bodypaint, or anything else, for that matter!
Bicyclists will convene in various degrees of undress at 9 p.m. Saturday at the North Point Park Common in Cambridge. The ride will go through Cambridge, Boston, and Somerville.
