Choose The Restaurant That Fits Your Party Style This New Year’s Eve
Where will you eat your final meal of 2014?
Check out 10 ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Boston-area restaurants — from a pop princess showdown to a country hoedown — and choose the one that fits your party style.
For the Unpretentious:

Get ready for a Solo cup toast at Battery Park’s Country Hoedown.
The last thing you want to do is dress to the nines and eat filet mignon on New Year’s Eve. It’s just not who you are. So head to Battery Park for a knee-slappin’ Country Hoedown, complete with burgers, ribs, baked beans, corn-on-the-cob, chili, and probably plenty of plaid. The country music will be twangin’ and the red solo cups will be toastin’. Movie lovers will enjoy westerns like “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid’’ and “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly,’’ playing throughout the night.
Battery Park, 33 Batterymarch St., Boston. 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets are $65 and include food, two drinks and a red solo cup toast at midnight. Buy them here. www.batteryparkboston.com.
For the Pop Culture Obsessed:

It’s Katy Perry versus Taylor Swift at the Back Bay Harry’s celebration.
Which pop princess do you favor, Katy Perry or Taylor Swift? If you love them both, it’s a win-win situation for you this New Year’s Eve at Back Bay Harry’s, where the music and videos of both divas will play all night long. It’s a “Katy Perry Vs. Taylor Swift New Year’s Eve Party,’’ paired with a prix-fixe three course dinner and champagne toast. The restaurant will pit the two divas against each other by hiring dueling DJs to spin songs from each camp. So get ready to “Shake It Off’’ and “Roar’’ in 2015.
Back Bay Harry’s, 142 Berkeley St., Boston. 7 p.m. $55 per ticket. www.backbayharrys.com.
