Fisherman Unexpectedly Delivers Stingray Twins
A Florida fisherman unexpectedly helped a stingray deliver twins and the entire ordeal was captured on camera.
Calvin Conger was fishing for sharks near Ponce De Leon Park in Florida. Instead of a shark, he pulled up a stingray.
“We were kinda bummed out about it,’’ said Conger on the NewsFix video above.
He put the stingray on the filleting table, intending to use it for bait. That’s when he noticed an extra stinger hanging out. Conger’s dad pushed down on the stingray and a baby popped out. And then, another!
“We let it go,’’ said Conger. “We wouldn’t kill the mom.’’
That’s right, mom and babies were released into the ocean. Talk about timing a delivery just right!
