Get a First-Person View of a Grizzly Bear’s Mouth, Because GoPro
First, there was Earth.
Earth was populated with lots of cool things, commonly known as nature.
Then, humans came along and wanted to explore nature. But we quickly learned that nature is extremely dangerous and should not be tampered with.
But then our hero, known only as GoPro, was born. The new creation gave humans a way to explore nature without the risk of serious injury. And in a video posted to YouTube this week, GoPro accomplished exactly that.
The video’s description says the video was shot in Katmai Peninsula, Alaska by British photographer Chris Weston. He propped up his GoPro in the middle of a river and waited for a bear to come a-fishin’.
Sure enough, a 500-pound grizzly wandered over and decided to forego his usual salmon diet in favor of Weston’s camera. The enormous, brown fur ball chewed on the camera a bit before realizing it wasn’t food and moving on.
The video is both cool and a bit scary, but its value is in solving that age-old “I want to see the inside of a grizzly bear’s mouth, but I do not want to be mauled’’ problem. Good on you, GoPro. Good on you.
