Survey: Millennials Want Luxury, Convenience When They Travel
When millennials travel, they want luxury, convenience, and they want to be social.
A new survey by Chase Card Services of 1,000 travelers age 18 to 67 revealed that 32 percent of millennials (age 18 to 34) prefer staying in a hotel that offers dry cleaning services, 30 percent want massage or spa services, and 23 percent want a pet-friendly place. They are twice as likely as older travelers to prefer “elite’’ status as a benefit from their travel rewards program. It’s also a “deal breaker’’ if a hotel is not near public transportation for 19 percent of millennials.
One more tidbit from the survey: 97 percent of millennials post to social media while vacationing. Shocking, huh? Yeah, not so much. Millennials are a social bunch. In fact, 57 percent of them want to mix and mingle with others staying at their hotel.
