Timelapse Video Shows Europe’s ‘Magical’ Beauty

[fragment number=0]

Travel videos are all the rage this week, and here’s another one that’s pretty good. Titled “Magical Europe,’’ the video shows views from across the continent with stunning clarity and color. The video comes just days after a man’s 360-degree world travels selfie video went viral.

Of course, as beautiful “Magical Europe’’ is, you have to wonder how grueling it was to make. The description says the creator, Stan Chang, used two cameras to shoot the video in 30 countries while traveling with his wife and son. They had to take 60 flights and captured over 1,000 videos and 200,000 pictures.

That’s a lot of work, but it’s even more when you realize that each of these videos is a time lapse. The ideal vacation for most families might include some or all of these sights, but it probably doesn’t involve watching Dad hunched over a camera for hours on end and listening to him mumble about getting the “perfect shot.’’ That sound worse than a trip with the Griswolds.
