Denny’s opens Las Vegas wedding chapel

For most people, this city triggers thoughts of gambling specifically or misbehaving generally. But for others, it is the only place they would want to get hitched. Those seeking a unique setting in which to exchange vows need look no farther than Denny’s. Now Denny’s patrons can combine noshing and nuptials, with a Pancake Puppie wedding cake and a Grand Slamosa cocktail toast.

Nancy Levandowski, 53, director of dining services at Iowa State University, and Steve Keller, 54, a food service salesman, were chosen by Denny’s executives to partake in the chapel’s inaugural wedding earlier this month.
-

“As passionate Denny’s fans for more than 35 years, my husband and I couldn’t think of a more fun and exciting way to tie the knot,’’ said Levandowski.
-

Weddings at Denny’s can be as simple or as elaborate as the couple would like, with ceremonies at the chapel starting at $95 — which includes Denny’s just-married T-shirts for the lovebirds and the diner’s signature “Pancake Puppies’’ wedding cake.
-

In addition to the chapel, the newly designed restaurant has a full-service bar and an interactive photo booth where the recently betrothed — and everyday customers — can take pictures with a variety of backgrounds and post them instantly on Facebook.

“Our in-house wedding chapel truly combines the authenticity of America’s diner with the eccentricity of Las Vegas,’’ said Frances Allen, Denny’s chief marketing officer.
