Dealing with a lockout
If you get locked out of your car or condo on vacation, be careful whom you call for help. Fraudulent locksmiths may advise that your lock can’t be picked, then demand a steep fee to drill out the lock and replace it. Trustworthy locksmiths should be able to pick almost any lock. Require proof of ID and look for a member of the Associated Locksmiths of America. Ask for proof of insurance, too.
