Insurance generally requires reef restorers to contract with individual dive operators. CRF uses the Amoray Dive Resort, (104250 Overseas Highway, 800-426-6729, www.amoray .com) which offers comfortable lodging in quaint, white clapboard buildings with much tree shade and a pool. Dining is within walking distance but a car will greatly expand the dining horizon along one of Florida’s busiest tourist boulevards.
