Zoo animals celebrate Halloween

At least once in every kid’s (or adult’s) life, he or she dresses like an animal for Halloween. But what do the animals dress as? While we know zoo animals don’t put on costumes for Halloween, we do know they also celebrate the holiday with fun and food. Here are some scenes of zoo animals from around the world enjoying some end-of -October festivities.

The San Diego Zoo’s 6-month-old jaguar, Tikal, enjoyed rolling a jack-olantern around his exhibit. The 50-pound male cub, his sister and their mother spent the morning enjoying the treats inside them and playing tug-of-war with the orange squash. The only scary part was when Tikal nearly lost his pumpkin in the pool, but his big paws were quick and caught the jack-o-lantern for continued playtime.
