New England’s signature ski trails
Don’t you just love a good top to bottom run? Ideally it starts at the scenic summit and descends, uninterrupted, all the way to the base. That’s the best way to really ski a mountain and get the full vertical. If you score the trail to yourself…well, all the better.
Unfortunately, marketing directors, in their quest for higher trail counts, now count one long run as upper, middle and lower. Others have added intersections and cross cuts that dissect runs. They didn’t consult me on this trend. I would have said one long run is better than three segments, statistics be damned.
Therefore, here are my picks for signature ski trails in the Northeast, most of which are top-to-bottom. Let me know if I missed your favorite and I will ski it to see if it makes my list.
