This New England campground with a beer garden was almost named the most unique in America

It opens for the season on April 30.

A Maine campground’s mix of camp sites and craft brews has gained national recognition.

The winners of the 2025 Campspot Awards were announced on Tuesday, and Boothbay Craft Brewery, Tavern & RV Resort, billed as “Maine’s premier RV brewery destination,” narrowly missed the title of most unique campground in the U.S. It ranked second on Campspot’s list of must unique campgrounds.

The winning campgrounds this year on Campspot, an online marketplace for campgrounds, were recognized for their “amazing locations, outstanding amenities, and unforgettable experiences.”

The Boothbay getaway offers RV sites, a brewery, beer garden, rustic-style tavern, live music, dog park, and more.

The most unique campground in America, according to Campspot, is True West Campground & Stables in Jamestown, Tenn., which features horse stables and horse trails.

Beach Camping Area in Conway, N.H.

Another New England campground was recognized in the awards: Beach Camping Area in Conway, N.H. ranked No. 9 among the top campgrounds in the U.S.. It opens on May 15.

Verde Ranch RV Resort in Camp Verde, Arizona was named the best campground in the U.S. and features RV sites, furnished vacation rental cottages, luxury safari tents, a heated pool, hot tubs, fitness center, pet park, and more.

Campspot analyzed more than 3 million data points to determine the winners, according to the company, including park features, reservation data, and guest ratings.
