It’s been an exciting week in New England, between the massive winter storm that dumped up to 2 feet of snow in our region and the New England Patriots securing a spot in this year’s Super Bowl

The ski resorts are rejoicing over all the powder, and for those planning a ski trip, what follows is a regional ski guide full of mountain stats and current conditions at nearly 70 regional resorts. And for those going to the big game next month, I’ve got info about which airlines are beefing up service to the Bay Area that weekend.

Your 2026 New England ski guide

New England offers some of the best skiing in the nation. Need help picking a destination? Check out this 2026 New England Ski Guide full of mountain stats, prices, current conditions, and new happenings at resorts across the region this season. For those traveling with kids, check out regional mountains offering candy slopeside (including a candy mailbox located mid trail!).

Need a flight to Cali for the big game?

Super Bowl-bound Pats fans traveling to the Bay Area for the big game on Feb. 8 have even more flying options now that several airlines have beefed up service from Boston that week. Fans can even travel on flight number 617, named after Boston’s area code. 

This adults-only Vermont resort is perfect for romance 

Looking for a romantic getaway? Twin Farms, an adults-only, all-inclusive resort on 300 acres of Vermont countryside was recently named among 8 romantic getaways and last-minute Valentine’s Day trips for couples by Yahoo Travel. This place is no stranger to accolades for its beauty, service, food, and activities.

Travel tips:

  • For outdoor winter fun head to Great Ice! 2026 in North Hero, Vermont, taking place Feb. 13-15. Festival highlights include bonfires, dog sled rides, a lighted skating rink, snow building competitions, a food and wine village, and fireworks.
  • Sip a drink while gazing at the sunset from a rooftop bar in downtown Providence when Blu Violet reopens Feb. 5 after a $500,000 renovation. The bar, atop the hotel Aloft Providence Downtown in the Innovation & Design district, offers sweeping views of the Providence River.

Deals and steals:

  • Looking for a meal deal in Greater Boston? Here are tips for finding the best food for under $20 in Somerville and Quincy.
  • Check out a couple of ski deals coming out of New Hampshire: Ski for $39 on Thursdays at Crotched Mountain in Bennington during Crotched Community Night when booked in advance through March 12. And King Pine Ski Area in Madison is selling lift tickets for $4 on March 20 after a similar promotion sold out in December. Tickets must be bought online in advance and sales are limited to the first 1,000 customers. 
  • Travelers can save at Wyndham hotels across the U.S. and Canada this winter during the Wyndham Rewards Winter Sale when booking by Feb. 16 for travel through May 31. Save 10% for a one-night stay, 15% for two consecutive nights, or 20% for three or more consecutive nights. Travelers must be Wyndham Rewards members to get these deals and it’s free to join.
