Welcome back to Scenic Six.
It’s been an exciting week in New England, between the massive winter storm that dumped up to 2 feet of snow in our region and the New England Patriots securing a spot in this year’s Super Bowl.
The ski resorts are rejoicing over all the powder, and for those planning a ski trip, what follows is a regional ski guide full of mountain stats and current conditions at nearly 70 regional resorts. And for those going to the big game next month, I’ve got info about which airlines are beefing up service to the Bay Area that weekend.
Also this week, find out about hotel and food deals, a romantic getaway in Vermont, and a rooftop bar reopening in Providence, R.I.

New England offers some of the best skiing in the nation. Need help picking a destination? Check out this 2026 New England Ski Guide full of mountain stats, prices, current conditions, and new happenings at resorts across the region this season. For those traveling with kids, check out regional mountains offering candy slopeside (including a candy mailbox located mid trail!).

Super Bowl-bound Pats fans traveling to the Bay Area for the big game on Feb. 8 have even more flying options now that several airlines have beefed up service from Boston that week. Fans can even travel on flight number 617, named after Boston’s area code.

Looking for a romantic getaway? Twin Farms, an adults-only, all-inclusive resort on 300 acres of Vermont countryside was recently named among 8 romantic getaways and last-minute Valentine’s Day trips for couples by Yahoo Travel. This place is no stranger to accolades for its beauty, service, food, and activities.
