St. Patrick’s Day is fast approaching, which means the Boston parade, and all things Irish, are front of mind. This week, we’ll talk about how the Boston Irish Heritage Trail is changing, murder-mystery getaways across the region, and New Hampshire’s newest casino.
The Boston Irish Heritage Trail, a 2.8-mile trail with 20 stops that stretch from the waterfront to Fenway Park, is getting five new stops this summer.
“You get to see a lot of Boston and a lot of the city’s beauty and architectural highlights along the way,” Michael Quinlin, co-founder of the Boston Irish Tourism Association, said when we chatted about it.
The St. Patrick’s Day fun happens all month long across New England if you know where to go. Check out this list of festivals, parades, pub crawls, and more taking place throughout the region.
For those eyeing a Newport getaway this year, a brand new hotel near the city’s iconic Cliff Walk opens this week. The 24-room Island House Newport includes 14 luxe suites and a two-bedroom penthouse suite. Newport was recently named among the most welcoming places in the U.S. for 2025.
