Welcome back to Scenic Six.

This week, I have some exciting plane and train news to share. JetBlue is now flying out of another New England airport and I’ve got info about where you can go. If the train is more your speed, New England boasts two of the best winter train trips in North America. Fresh off a train trip earlier this month, I can attest that it can be a downright magical way to travel.

JetBlue is now flying out of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport

Is an escape to Florida on your mind this year? (raises hand). New Englanders have more flying options to the Sunshine State now that JetBlue has begun service out of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in Manchester, N.H., last week. Travelers can fly to three Florida destinations: Orlando, Fort Myers, and Fort Lauderdale. I wasted no time booking a flight to Orlando for a girl’s trip later this year and was happy with my reasonably priced flights.

Ride the rails this winter on these top-rated train rides

Earlier this month, I took the train to New York City with my daughter and mother-in-law for some Broadway fun. We enjoyed a beautiful sunrise and a relaxing, scenic, and stress-free ride. Looking to book a train ride this season? New England has two of the best winter train trips in North America, according to USA Today: Steam and Sleighs to SeaLyon Farm in Maine and The Mount Washington Cog Railway in New Hampshire.

Bretton Woods in the best ski resort in New Hampshire

Ski season is in full throttle and when I asked Boston.com readers for the best ski resort in New Hampshire, their answer was clear: Bretton Woods. It is the largest ski resort in the state, has a gorgeous view of the Presidential Range, and 464 acres of skiing and riding. It’s “a truly pleasant and inspiring place to ski,” wrote Gary from Danvers.

Travel Tips

  • If you are skiing in Vermont this season, it’s worth timing your trip with the Ski Vermont Specialty Food Day Tour. Skiers and riders can sample Vermont cheese, cider, hot sauce, and more in between runs at various mountains in February and March.
  • Toast your friends at the Boston Wine & Food Festival, taking place at the Boston Harbor Hotel Jan. 31 to March 27.
  • Take advantage of a rare opportunity to explore the Boston Harbor Islands over the winter months during Winter Wander on Peddocks Island, taking place Feb. 15.

Deals and Steals

  • Save during a day out in the city by choosing from this list of free things to do in Boston in February, which includes concerts, movies, line dancing, a Grammy Awards watch party, and more.
  • Get special prices on prix fixe meals during Dine Out Boston, taking place Feb. 23 to March 15. Check out the participating restaurants.
  • How does a romantic Maine getaway sound this Valentine’s Day? Book the “Bear Pairs Sweethearts Package” at Hotel Ursa in Orono and get a $50 gift card toward dinner at Pepper’s Landing and 10% off breakfast at MajorMinor Cafe.

I’ll leave you with this picture Connor Corcoran shared of Commonwealth Mall during the recent snow.
