For a New England getaway with good vibes, look no further than Newport, according to Booking.com.

Newport was named among the most welcoming places in the U.S. for 2025 by Booking.com, according to information from the company shared with Boston.com.

The seaside city, known as the sailing capital of the world, offers Gilded Age mansions, restaurants, shopping, museums, and more. Newport’s Cliff Walk is a 3.5-mile scenic walk along the coast with panoramic ocean views.

Booking.com also named the following as top places to stay in Newport: Wellington Resort, a waterfront resort overlooking Newport Harbor, and the Marshall Slocum Inn, a boutique hotel near the waterfront and downtown.

The list is part of Booking.com’s 13th Annual Traveler Review Awards, based on more than 360 million verified customer reviews.
