Travelers can explore Newport this summer by hopping on a new nonstop bus service from Boston.

Discover Newport, in partnership with DATTCO, will run between the South Station Bus Terminal and the Newport Gateway Transportation Center twice a day between June 7 and Sept. 9.

The service will run Friday through Monday and leave Boston at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

“We are thrilled to launch this service between two great cities,” said Evan Smith, president and CEO of Discover Newport, in a statement. “Making Newport easily accessible to the Boston market was an initiative that we’ve been eager to launch and are thrilled to partner with DATTCO to make it come to life this summer. This will allow Bostonians access to Newport for a weekend coastal getaway with ease and affordability.”
