Aly Raisman is already looking forward to summer down the Cape
Fall may be one of the best times to be in New England
, but Aly Raisman has her eyes set on summer.
The Olympian, who spoke at the Forbes Under 30 Summit at Harvard Business School on Tuesday, told Boston.com before her appearance that she spends her falls training. And so, in typical New England fashion, the gymnast said she is most looking forward to soaking up some sun down the Cape come the warmer season.
“I have a Cape house, and we go there in the summer,” she said. “And in the summer, it is easier because I would have Saturday afternoon and Sunday off [from training] so I would go to the Cape, and that was kind of like my minivacation. But during the fall, it is always training all the time.”
This autumn, since the 22-year-old Needham native won the silver medal in the all-around competition at the August Rio Games, she’s been making TV appearances, attending fashion week, dueling in a Lip Sync Battle, and hanging with David Ortiz, in addition to touring with her Final Five teammates.
“Of course I want to continue training, but I definitely am going to take a break first,” Raisman said. “We are on tour right now so we haven’t actually had a time to breathe and relax yet. But I am definitely looking forward to the summer and being able to be down the Cape with my family.”
