If exploring a national park is on your list of fall things to do, you can save money by visiting one (or more) of them on Saturday or Sunday. The National Park Service is waiving fees in celebration of Veterans Day Weekend.
There are more than 400 national parks in the United States, and many of them are free every day, but 118 national parks normally charge to enter, according to the National Park Service.
New England parks that will waive fees include Adams National Historical Park and Cape Cod National Seashore in Massachusetts, Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in New Hampshire, and Acadia National Park in Maine.
Fourth-grade students, active-duty military, and visitors with permanent disabilities can get free passes to national parks all the time.
