2014’s Top 10 Most Geotagged Locations on Instagram: Where’s The Love for New England?
New England didn’t make the list of most geotagged locations on Instagram this year. Again.
Where’s the love?
The closest Instagram-tastic spots to us, it seems, are in New York. Times Square made the list for the past three years. And this year, Yankee Stadium even snuck onto the list (thanks, Jeter).
What about our beautiful and historic Boston Common? The larger-than-life frames installed in the park this fall for the public’s Instagramming pleasure should have made us contenders, no?
And wasn’t Faneuil Hall named a top tourist attraction in the world? Boston tourists, let’s up our Instagram game for 2015, hmm?
There was, however, an upset on this year’s list. After two years at No. 1, Siam Paragon, a glitzy shopping mall in Bangkok, was knocked off the Instagram throne, slipping to No. 4. Here’s a shot of the Instagram darling posted this week.

Disneyland is the big cheese this year, taking the No. 1 spot. And with the holidays approaching, that shimmering castle is sure to rake in plenty more Instagram love. Here’s a pic posted yesterday.

This year’s list is also more international, with five spots outside the US. In comparison, last year there were only two spots outside the US (both in Bangkok).
