A Vermont bike ride that combines community and farm-to-table experiences is among the best in the nation, according to USA Today readers.
The publication recently released a list of the 10 best road cycle events in America, part of its 2026 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and Farm to Fork Gran Fondo in Lake Champlain, Vermont ranked No. 3.
Here’s what USA Today wrote about Farm to Fork Gran Fondo:
The Farm to Fork Gran Fondo is a community-focused ride that combines the love of cycling with farm-to-table culinary experiences. The Lake Champlain Gran Fondo starts in South Hero, Vermont, and runs through the lovely Champlain Islands for 60 miles, stopping at four farms along the way, where riders will get to indulge in curated gourmet bites. There’s a post-ride farm-to-table meal, support vehicles on hand, and even a farm benefit dinner the night before the ride, with all proceeds going to support local farm and community programs.
“At the heart of our company is a simple but powerful mission: to connect people to places through activity, local food, and meaningful human experiences,” wrote Pina Finazzo, owner of Farm to Fork Fitness Adventures, in an email to Boston.com.

The No. 1 road cycle event is Hotter’N Hell Hundred in Wichita Falls, Texas.
For the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards lists, USA Today travel experts select 20 nominees in topics from food to lodging, destinations to things to do. Then the publication asks readers to cast votes to determine the top 10.
