The best waterfront restaurant in America is in Massachusetts, according to USA Today readers

You'll find it on the Cape.

Beach House Grill in Chatham.

A Cape Cod restaurant with a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean just ranked the best in America for waterfront dining.

USA Today named the top 10 waterfront restaurants in America on Wednesday, part of its 2025 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and Beach House Grill in Chatham ranked No. 1.

“We first eat with our eyes, as the saying goes, and waterfront restaurants offer breathtaking views beyond the beauty of the food they serve,” the publication wrote.

Here’s what USA Today wrote about Beach House Grill, located at Chatham Bars Inn:

“Perched on the iconic sands of Cape Cod, the Beach House Grill serves up fresh, coastal cuisine with a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean. Their expansive outdoor patio offers a relaxed, inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy a variety of exceptional local seafood specials, including clams and lobster rolls. This casual beachfront restaurant also hosts live entertainment on weekends, creating the perfect setting for all ages.”

Chatham Bars Inn, billed as “Cape Cod’s most beautiful address,” was named the No. 1 waterfront resort in America by USA Today readers in August. Beach House Grill is one of five restaurants at the hotel. The other four are Stars, The Sacred Cod, The Veranda, and Bayview Terrace.
