Two New England destinations will fulfill all of your holiday dreams this Christmas, according to Conde Nast Traveler.
The travel publication released a list of 24 Christmas vacation ideas for 2024 and included the Berkshires and Woodstock, Vermont.
“If you want a guarantee on the festive, tinsel-wrapped Christmas you’ve been dreaming of, look no further than these 24 winter holiday hotspots,” wrote Conde Nast Traveler.
In the Berkshires, the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge is full of holiday spirit, according to the publication. The historic inn, famously featured in a Norman Rockwell painting, has pianists and harpists playing holiday songs inside and carolers singing from its decorated front porch outside.
“Decor throughout the hotel includes dozens of live Christmas trees, wreaths, kissing balls (super-sized mistletoe), poinsettias, hundreds of yards of garland, and handmade wreaths crafted from recycled material,” Conde Nast Traveler wrote.
Travelers will find more holiday fun in the Berkshires at nearby Winterlights at Naumkeag, NightWood at The Mount, and Hancock Shaker Village.
Meanwhile, the Woodstock Inn & Resort “resembles a postcard of a Vermont holiday: plush velvet ribbons, a nine-foot wood fireplace flanked by two giant decorated wreaths, and the main evergreen tree, which is grown on property,” Conde Nast Traveler wrote.
Visitors can also pose before a 12-foot tall Christmas tree and partake in holiday activities such as candle dipping at Billings Farm & Museum, where its Learning Kitchen also hosts cooking demonstrations.
