The website just named Jiminy Peak in Hancock the best ski area for beginners in North America in its annual Visitors’ Choice Awards. It is the second year in a row that Jiminy Peak has won the award.

The mountain, with an elevation of 2,380 feet, offers 45 trails covering more than 167 acres, nine lifts, two terrain parks, and night skiing.

“Jiminy Peak prides itself on its offerings for beginners, featuring terrain-based learning to create a dedicated learning environment designed for beginner skiers and snowboarders,” wrote OnTheSnow.com. “More than one-third of Jiminy Peak’s ski trails are beginner trails, while it also has several low intermediate trails for those who are progressing from green to blue runs.”
