If your Christmas wish list includes visiting a remarkable light display, Maine and Connecticut have two of the best in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report.

The publication released a list of the 28 best Christmas light displays + tours for 2024 and included Gardens Aglow at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine, and Glow Hartford in Hartford, Connecticut.

Maine’s Gardens Aglow, celebrating its 10th season this year, runs from Nov. 16 to Dec. 31.

“More than 750,000 lights adorn a milelong path in shapes ranging from Christmas trees to round baubles to mushrooms,” wrote U.S. News & World Report. “What’s more, two of the gardens’ giant trolls – Roskva and Lilja – will be on display, too.”

Traditional favorites like a tunnel of lights, snowmen and reindeer are also lit up.”
