The Gazebo Inn Ogunquit took spot No. 14. The southern Maine boutique stay is a cozy and warm alternative to a chain hotel, with updated rooms, a massage room, in-house bar, and library. In the warmer months, guests can enjoy a footbridge to the beach, and an outdoor pool and hot tubs, which guests say provided a “spa-like” feel, according to reviews.
The 8 Dyer Hotel in Provincetown nabbed No. 16. One reviewer called it “the best luxury hotel in Provincetown!” It’s owned by chefs who provide daily breakfast, including breads made from scratch, waffles, cage-free eggs, and more. Guests enjoy turndown service with gourmet chocolates and can relax by the fireplace or have a play at the grand piano. Guests wrote in reviews that they loved the brunch (especially the scones), the short walk to the beach, and the cleanliness and attention to detail provided by the hosts, Tom and Rick.
