The Hyannis-based regional airline announced on Monday that it will begin offering year-round service between Barnstable Municipal Airport in Hyannis, Nantucket Memorial Airport, and Martha’s Vineyard Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, N.Y. on Sept. 16.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to grow our New York City service, while offering even more options for the Cape & Islands to reach hundreds of additional destination markets,” said Linda Markham, president of Cape Air, in a press release. “Our initial JFK service proved to be a valuable way for our island communities to easily access Metropolitan New York during off peak season, but the demand for more was there. We look forward to expanding our connections and making it even easier for passengers to access the national system year round.”
