If you’re debating where in the region to head for a leaf peeping road trip, take a quick peep at this list of the best destinations for fall foliage in America, according to USA Today readers.
The list, released Friday as part of USA Today’s 2018 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards, includes two New England locales: New Hampshire’s North Conway and the White Mountains ranked No. 5, and the Berkshires came in at No. 7. (The No. 1 fall foliage destination was Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.)
“The annual display of fall color in the White Mountains of New Hampshire typically takes place each September and October, attracting millions of visitors from around the globe,” the publication wrote. “One of the best places to take it all in is along the 34-mile Kancamagus Highway as it cuts through White Mountain National Forest.”
